I’m sitting here watching the Grammy Awards on television . . . wondering why I don’t recognize names like Iggy Azalea, Bastille, and Haim. To my husband: “Honey, do you even know who that is?” He shakes his head no.
Nothing makes me feel older than realizing the Soul Train has left the station.
When did we become our parents–the ones who watch the music award shows with scowls and comments like: “Shouldn’t those girls be wearing more clothes?”
Gone are the GOOD OLD DAYS along with music that really captured our hearts and souls. Remember any of these?
So, tell me . . . what was your favorite album to listen to when growing up (or was it an eight-track? *winks*) Tell us in the comments!

I loved everything I heard in High School……I loved Heart……and Elton John……and The Eagles…….And John Denver….. and ABBA……..And Fleetwood Mac….And Linda Ronstadt…………..
Remember the dances in the old gym? Creedence Clearwater Revival baby!
My favorite album The Eagles…I love every song on it and know all the words so I sing along in the car when I put in the C D. I had a birthday present of tickets when they played the Hollywood Bowl several years ago….a dream come true for me.
Oh Jackie . . . that’s another favorite for sure! My husband has all their albums. (yes, he kept six boxes of vinyls and they are stored in our house taking up space *smiles*)
I grew up in the West so Willie Nelson’s albums were playing constantly at my house. Also those of John Denver
Joy . . . I live in the Dallas Fort Worth area and we are lucky to have Willie Nelson live concerts nearby. I loved the song he did with Waylon Jennings “Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys.”
